Bahamas Outbound Travel Rose 7.1% in July
Departures reached 180,831 in July, up 7.1%, a read on the pace of Bahamian travel and household spending.

Outbound travel from The Bahamas rose 7.1% in July, with departures reaching 180,831, according to the Central Bank of The Bahamas.
Outbound numbers are a demand signal. Rising departures point to households with the income and the confidence to travel, and they sit alongside the inbound tourism that carries the Bahamian economy as a read on the strength of the consumer.
The pace matters for a service economy where the tourism cycle drives employment, foreign exchange and the government's own revenue. A 7.1% monthly gain is a firm print.
The July figure is from the Central Bank of The Bahamas.
